The Machine

The mechanisms of the modern world are against you. You who want a future for your children are discouraged in favor of those who fail to fulfill the most basic criteria for parents. You who want the chance to prove yourselves are turned away in favor of the broken and less able. You who have heritage to be proud of are shouted down by those whose ancestors contributed little or nothing.

This country was established as a refuge for those who wanted to make something of themselves. This nation was a nation of strong people who knew the value of work and the virtue of merit. The call of freedom and liberty that rang out through this land was a call to be everything you could be, a call to be excellent, a call to be prosperous, a call to be better.

That call is fading away with every tax increase, with every welfare handout, with every flagrant and vitriolic attack on the history of America. If this call is ever to be heard again the circumstances must change. Our government must be held accountable to the ideals on which this country was founded. Our people must be educated in the understanding of the greatness of which they are capable. Excellence must be valued over mediocrity. And the cult of progressive cultural Marxist victim hierarchies must be opposed and destroyed.

To quote one of the heroes of the modern left who spoke to a crowd of his fellow students at the University of Berkeley

There’s a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart that you can’t take part! You can’t even passively take part! And you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus — and you’ve got to make it stop! And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it — that unless you’re free the machine will be prevented from working at all! – Mario Savio
