America, a country once founded on national self-determination, has had its sovereignty swept out from under it in recent history. Most of the major developments in this trend have taken place well within living memory, from the gutting of domestic manufacturing in the name of free trade, to recent attempts to hand off internet regulations and copyright enforcement to international bodies and corporations. Far and away the most egregious of these betrayals has been the imposition of an immigration policy which has never been popular since its beginning in 1965. The big lie, that this shift in immigration policy would not change the demographic balance of the country, became apparent only after many years, and the political will to repeal it was never found – aided, I’m sure, by the big money standing behind immigration.
This policy is in the spotlight now following the terrorist truck attack in Manhattan. It’s only a matter of time before we become like Europe, where such occurrences are so common they’ve become barely newsworthy unless the death toll is well into the double digits. This isn’t even the first time someone on this specific visa has committed a terrorist act. The people are angry, and justifiably so. In 25 years we went from the promise that demographic balances in America would be maintained, to the current lottery regime which actually incentivizes people with no connections, personal, historical, cultural, or otherwise, to come into the United States on a green card. As the president pointed out, our absurd policy of chain migration then allows for any of the groups brought in in this way to continue bringing family members into the country long after the initial visa is granted.
This is the result of having diversity as the primary moral soapbox of a nation. Official policy is barely a step behind the most radical left-wing activists calling for the destruction of America’s traditional structure and citizenry. The visa lottery can only be reasonably viewed as a tool to turn the country less white. Surprise, the man with the most weight behind this was Chuck Schumer, key Democratic power broker and constant stoker of anti-American, anti-white animus.
Trump has now let the cat out of the bag, and it’s going to be hell for Democrats and corrupt RINOs to defend these programs if his base keeps up the pressure in 2018. We have to make comprehensive immigration reform – and not of the Marco Rubio, let-them-all-in variety – a mainstay of rightist politics going forward. Your country’s future depends on eliminating these programs, the stated point of which are the introduction of completely incompatible ethnic groups into our midst. If America is to remain “Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”, we must not sacrifice the conditions that made our great success as a nation possible. The absurdity of the Diversity Visa and all non-merit based immigration quotas ought to be apparent. We do not owe every unfortunate the world over the right to live in our country, in our cities, our communities, or to endanger our people. The time has come for a full-throated defense of American national sovereignty against all opponents. We must make it clear that we refuse to compromise on our self-determination as a people, now and forever.
